Faith Formation

A Journey of Discovery

PREP

The Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is a weekly program that runs through the school year, offering public school students an opportunity to learn about their faith. With a focus on deepening our relationship with Jesus our students also learn about the liturgy, sacraments, the Bible, and our rich tradition of faith. Classes run from kindergarten through grade 7, with a class for high school students as well.

Classes are on Wednesday evenings during the school year, from 7 – 8:15 pm at St. Patrick’s elementary school. For more information, please contact Sr. Rhonda at 604-874-7818 or [email protected].

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a weekly program from September through June that introduces adults to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Although specifically designed for those thinking about becoming Catholic, this program is also suited for Catholics wanting to learn more about the teachings of the Church, and for others who are just wondering what the Catholic Church is all about.

Knowing where to begin, and understanding what it all means can be complicated. Join us for weekly Bible studies to unlock the mysteries and start mining the treasures of the Holy Bible. Faith Studies

Sometimes Church teachings can be hard to understand or to accept. People may even wonder and ask why we hold to ‘outdated’ beliefs. While it’s true that we have to “accept it in faith” the dogmas of the Church, it’s also true that there are solid and satisfying answers to our questions about our Catholic faith, and all of them are rooted in love. If you’ve ever wondered, or just want to know more about the Catholic faith, join us for a Faith Study night. Bring questions! For more information, please contact Conchita at 604-874-7818 or [email protected].
