Catholic Women’s League

Are you a woman that is looking to make a difference in your parish and community?

The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) is a sisterhood, rooted in Gospel values that calls its members to grow in faith, and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service. Guided by the motto “for God and Canada,” the CWL also diligently work to promote the teachings of the Catholic church. The first St. Patrick’s CWL circle was begun in 2005. It continued the work of the former Ladies Auxiliary and Altar Society which had played a crucial role in parish life since the 1930’s.

Today the circle meets usually on the first Sunday of the month at around 12:30pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Café at St. Patrick’s Parish. Members also raise awareness of social and political issues that involve the Faith, while they also support the working of the parish and its other ministries through fundraising initiatives.

If you’re striving to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life and would like to join a sisterhood that is committed to individual and collective spiritual development, contact Gilda Penfold or fill out the online registration form. Grow in faith and love of God through ministry and service, while promoting peace and harmony, religious freedom and social justice!
