Knights of Columbus Council #11748

Are you looking to connect with other Catholic men for charitable work and faith formation?

Guided by the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus is a Catholic association of brotherly companions. It offers the opportunity for fellowship with other men who recognize their duty to God, to family and to neighbour, and the opportunity to give back to your community. St. Patrick’s Parish has a long association with the Knights of Columbus. Though the council was only begun in 1996, parishioners of St. Patrick’s made up the majority of the membership at the Holy Family council when it was created in 1958[1]. In fact, the original council there was named after a former Assistant Pastor of St. Patrick’s – Fr. Peter McGuire[2]

Presently, the St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Council #11748 meets on the third Friday of every month at 7:00pm, in the St. Therese of Lisieux Room. Other activities are also organized to appeal to the individual interests of the members. The activities enable members to render service to the Church, their country, and their fellow men. Regularly-scheduled times of prayer and devotion are also part of the Knights’ charism, helping brothers to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are regular practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See. This means that an applicant or member accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
